Travel guide #1: The wonderful island Rømø

Už 3 týdny pracuji denně na stáži s vylepšováním sociálních médií, tak mě to krásně motivuje k tomu, abych si vylepšovala i ty svoje. V práci pracuji momentálně hlavně s Facebookem a jedním z našich hlavních cílů je vytvořit pravidelné rubriky, aby lidé věděli, co můžou očekávat a na co se těšit. No a tak bych si to chtěla zavést i na blog! Dnešním dnem tedy vytvářím novou pravidelnou rubriku - Travel guide, kde Vás pokaždé provedu nějakým místem v Dánsku, přidám fotky, rady a tipy. První zastávka bude ostrov Rømø! 
Zbytek článku už si můžete přečíst pouze v angličtině (bohužel mi to jde teď v angličtině lépe a nějak nemám vůbec mozek na češtinu). Doufám, že to nebude činit velké problémy, ale pokud ano, tak budu moc ráda, když se na mě obrátíte s jakýmikoliv dotazy v komentářích nebo na emailu! :)

For the last 3 weeks I have been working with developing social media at my internship place. So now it has become a great motivation for me to improve those of my own as well. I've been mainly working with Facebook and one of our goals is to introduce regular content sections so that people know what to expect and what to look forward to. And well, this is something I want for my blog too! So today I am introducing a new section - Travel guide. I will guide you through a destination in Denmark that I have visited. add some photos, tips and advice. The first stop is the island Rømø!

BASICS

• Location: southwest of Denmark, the largest of the Wadden Sea islands
• Area and population: 129 km², 700 inhabitants

REASONS TO VISIT

• 3-km wide, 15 km long beach, free of entry, accessible by car, no parking restrictions
• you can build a tent, spend the night, swim, grill, catch crabs, fly a kite, do kitesurfing, kiteboarding, surfing...basically any watersport that requires a wind
• Rømø is also part of the Wadden Sea national park (UNESCO). That means you can for example see beautiful sand dunes, bunkers, occassionaly seals or migratory birds

HOW TO GET THERE

• By car - the easiest and least limiting possibility is to come by car
• By bus - but of course not everyone has a car so the one available connection to Rømø is from the town Skærbæk; thanks to investments there will be more routes coming up in 2017 and 2018

WHAT TO BRING

• Sand shoes - there is a lot of smashed seashells in the sand so bring a pair of flip-flops
• Swimsuit and other ordinary beach neccessities
• Watersport equipment and a kite if you have one!
• Jacket - the wind can get really strong and cold
• Beer - because it tastes so great with that view! You can have one even if you're a driver because Denmark is tolerating a certain level of alcohol while driving (around 2-3 small beers, not bad right?)

GOOD TO KNOW

• Be sure to check the weather forecast before you plan your trip (try yr,no or dmi.dk)
• Before you enter the beach there is a shopping area where you can buy food or souvenirs
• There are public toilets on many places on the beach (people always look for toilets)
• In case your car gets stuck in the sand there are special lorries on the beach that can get you out (cool, right?)

10 weeks, 10 things to know

Ostuda, ostuda. Už 10 týdnů jsem Vás mé milé čtenáře nenakrmila žádnými novinkami a že jich bylo! Možná právě kvůli tomu, kolik se toho dělo, jsem prostě blog musela na nějakou chvíli vypustit a dát si blogovací pauzu. Kdyby to nebavilo mě, tak by to nebavilo ani Vás a to nikdo přeci nechce. Ale teď jsem zpět se spoustou nového materiálu a inspirace, takže Vás tím postupně začnu zahrnovat. Teď bych Vás ze všeho nejradši seznámila stručně s tím, co se za těch 10 týdnů událo! Hezké čtení :)

Shame, shame on me. 10 weeks have past since my last published article even though there has been so much going on! But maybe that was actually the reason why I just had to let go for a while and have sort of a blogging holiday, After all, if I'm not enjoying it then you're not enjoying it and what's the point in that? But now I'm back in full force with a lot of new material and inspiration so it's all about to be published starting soon. But first of all, I would like to shortly introduce you to what's been going on in the past 10 weeks! Enjoy :)

1. Zkoušky/Exams
• A hurá do 3. semestru! Během měsíce a půl jsem zvládla zkoušky z účetnictví (ta byla za 12! #šprt), mezipředmětovou zkoušku (kombinace všeho, co jsem se učila) a z turismu, všechny v psané i ústní podobě. Nebylo to těžké, ale po té poslední se mi stejně ulevilo.
• 3rd semester, here I come! In month and a half I passed exams in accounting (got a 12 grade! #nerd), an intermediary exam and tourism, all both written and oral. They were quite easy but it was still a great feeling to be done with them.  
2. Výročí/Anniversary
• S Kubíkem jsme 30. května oslavili krásné 2 roky vztahu! Slavili jsme vlastně celý víkend, v sobotu jsme byli na výletě v zoo a v neděli v přístavu, večer otevřeli vínko a dali si pořádný dlabanec! (čím jiným slavit, než pořádným jídlem). 
• My boyfriend and I have celebrated a beautiful 2 years anniversary on 30th May. We actually celebrated the whole weekend - on Saturday we went on a trip to zoo and on Sunday we spent a nice afternoon in the marina, had a really good dinner and drank a bottle of wine.
3. Poprvé pod vodou/First time under water
• Po jedné z Kubových zkoušek jsme s jeho spolužákem a manželkou jeli na roadtrip na Romo, což je ostrov na západu Dánska s několika kilometry dlouhou pláží. Byl to jeden z nejkrásnějších dnů, co jsme zatím v Dánsku měli a konečně jsem měla šanci se pořádně smočit v moři a bylo to boží!
• After one of my boyfriend's exams we went on a roadtrip with his classmate and his wife to an island called Romo located in western Denmark. It was one of the most beautiful days we had in Denmark so far and I finally got a chance to go for a proper swim in the sea and it was awesome!
4. Kolo/Bike
• Joo, konečně mám kolo! O krok blíž k integrování se do dánské společnosti. Kuba si ho koupil jako první, aby si ulehčil dopravu do práce a mně ho koupili rodiče k narozeninám, takže paráda! Sice už jsem stačila píchnout a asi 5x zmouknout, ale to se poddá!
• Yes, I finally have a bike! One step closer to integrating into the Danish society. Jakub bought his first to make it easier to go to work and I got mine as a birthday gift from my parents, yay! I already had a flat tyre and get soaked like 5 times but that will give in.
5. Návštěva/Visit
• Zase nám bylo ctí mít někoho na návštěvu a tentokrát to byla moje drahá kamarádka Lucinka! Během týdne jsme stihli vytvořit asi 20 nových vzpomínek, o kterých si budeme povídat, až nám bude 80 let. Bylo to moc fajn!
• It was our pleasure to once again have someone visit us! This time it was my dear friend Lucy. During one week we managed to create about 20 new memories that we'll talk about when we're 80 years old. It was really nice!
6. Prázdniny/Holidays
• S přicházejícím létem bylo načase se zase podívat do Česka! Tentokrát na celé 3 týdny, což bylo fakt skvělý. Stihla jsem dovolenou s rodiči, podívat se na 3 dny do Rakouska, hudební festival a spoustu dalších skvělých věcí!
• With the upcoming summer it was again time to visit Czech! This time for whole 3 weeks which was pretty sweet. I had enough time to go on a vacation with my parents, visit Austria for 3 days, attend a music festival and much more!
7. Sbohem teenagerství/Bye teenagerhood
• Je to tak, už nejsem teenager :( (upřímně žádnou změnu necítím, ale nějak to prožívat musím). Ale samozřejmě bylo krásné oslavit dvacetiny s rodiči na dovolené. A vlastně je to fakt dobrý pocit načít novou dekádu života a zase o kousek dospět.
• That's right, I'm no longer a teenager :( (I don't really feel any change but still). It was very nice to celebrate my 20th birthday with my parents. And it's actually a great feeling to start a new decade of my life now and be again more grown-up.
8. Stáž/Internship
• Ano! Tohle je asi nejlepší věc, co se mi v Dánsku zatím stala. Jako součást třetího semestru jsem nastoupila na tříměsíční stáž v místní turistické kanceláři VisitVejle a nemohu být šťastnější! Práce mě hrozně baví, mám skvělé kolegy, piluju dánštinu a konečně se mi utváří představa mé budoucnosti. Víc článků přijde!
• Yes! This is probably the best thing that happened to me in Denmark. As a part of my 3rd semester I started a 3-month internship at local tourist office VisitVejle and I could not be happier! I enjoy the work, I have great colleagues, I'm training Danish and I'm finally shaping an image of what I want to do in the future. More posts coming up!
9. Rodiče nad zlato/Parents above all
• 27. července se vrátil Kuba i se svými rodiči, kteří s námi pobyli 10 dní. Asi mluvím za všechny, když řeknu, že jsme se báli, jak to zvládneme ve 4 lidech v takovém malém bytečku, ale všechno šlo hladce! Navíc nám tu všechno, s čím jsme si my nevěděli rady, opravili, upravili, uklidili, no prostě to byl moc pěkně strávený čas!
• On 27th July Jakub came back with his parents who stayed with us for the next 10 days. I think I'm speaking for everyone if I say, we were all worried about how we'll put up with each other in such a small apartment, but everything went well! Plus they helped us to repair, set up and clean everything we didn't know how to. Simply a nicely spent time!
10. Cestování/Travelling
• Součástí návštěvy rodičů bylo samozřejmě spousta cestování, jelikož jsme k tomu měli auto. Navštívili jsme spoustu krásných míst (fotky budou), kam bychom se sami nepodívali a za to jsem moc vděčná! (Už jsem zmínila, že nám taky přivezli asi 100kg jídla?) Prostě bez rodičů ani ránu.
• Part of the parents' visit was a lot of travelling since we could use a car for that. We've visited many many amazing places (photos next time) where we wouldn't go by ourselves which I'm very grateful for! (Did I mention that they brought like 100kg of food? No kidding). What would we do without them.
